So strategizing posts, uploads, battery charging and basic contact with family members has proved a little difficult. We are coping.
Monday we stayed at villages beach after our first day of 140 k. We then rode 80k to humbug mountain. There were 7 of us riding and passing each other throughput the day. There was the patriarch named Gary who had an answer for everything, Jason from Santa Monaco who was a care giver for people with mental disabilities, his bud the parole officer from Denver, and a fantastic couple from Boston named Chris and Cate. We had lots of laughs with these pepple and shared a lot with them. However today proves to be the day we split ways.
We arrived in Humbug Mountain under very windy conditions set up camp and headed to the beach. The ocean was frigid and I equate the temperature to putting the dock in during the last week of April. We jumped in and body surfed any how.
Yesterday we had a few climbs and another 80 k to Harris beach. We saw breath taking views and great ocean front properties, many were for sale. Coincidentally we travelled along the Tsunami danger zone. Weeeeeeeeee.
Andrew and I had a beer on the beach and Escher the sunset, I took some great shots and got a video. We ate Johnsonville brats and hit the hay at 10. we are now charging and wifi' ing at mcdonalds. Mmmmmmmm protein.
We will enter California today and the much anticipated RedWoods. Heavy climbing today. Yeah!
